UK Equity Funds

There are currently seven funds in our actively managed UK equities fund range and each is managed using the same successful approach.

  • Stock picking – ultimately, the performance of our UK equity funds rests on the ability of our experts to select the right stocks.
  • ‘Bottom-up’ approach – where others apply a ‘top-down’ approach, we focus on individual companies to identify those we believe offer the most potential for growth.
  • Focused fund range – with a high degree of manager conviction, our fund mangers choose from a limited number of investment stocks.
  • Boutique style - means our fund managers are not restricted by an imposed global management system, but still benefit from our scale.

The six-step rule.

A rigorous, six-step selection process is used to identify the shares held in each of our actively managed funds.
  1. Screening to identify positive cash flow returns and attractive valuations.
  2. Company analysis to ascertain any competitive advantage they may have.
  3. Verification of any key strengths and weaknesses.
  4. Valuation via a complex, meticulous process to set a target price for shares.
  5. Stock preferences are compiled to construct a core ‘model portfolio’.
  6. Portfolio construction to maximise exposure to the best ideas.
