All our Fund Managers are qualified chartered surveyors, so they offer true in-depth knowledge of the property market. The team also consists of strategic fund and market analysis backgrounds, plus analysts, accountants, developers and planners – allowing us to engage with every stage of real estate investing.

Meet the team
Michael BarrieCo-fund manager, UK Property Trust
- Joined LGIM in November 2005 and established the UK Property Trust in February 2006.
- Previous experience at Sun Alliance, Royal Sun Alliance, ISIS and F&C PAM.
- Michael is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Association of British Insurers Group.
- Qualifications: Post-graduate diploma in Property Investment; degree in Urban Land Economics.
Matt JarvisCo-fund manager, UK Property Trust
- Joined LGIM in 2004.
- Previously worked for Jones Lang LaSalle within the Valuations Advisory team.
- Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
- Qualifications: Degree in Land Management from the University of Reading.
Tim RussellSenior Asset Manager
- Joined LGIM in May 2010.
- Tim was previously a Senior Investment Manager with Cushman & Wakefield Investors.
- Holds a degree in Land Management from Reading University
- Tim is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and Fellow of the Association of Agricultural Valuers.
Natalia KolotnevaAsset Manager
- Joined Legal & General Property as an Asset Manager for the Managed Fund in June 2010 before joining the UK Property Trust in 2011.
- Natalia previously worked for Jones Lang LaSalle for Central London leasing department and National Investment Portfolio team, covering all regions across the UK.
- Natalia is involved in active asset management of a number of properties across all sectors and regions in the Fund. She is responsible for identifying added value initiatives and actioning on opportunities within the portfolio to deliver enhanced returns to the Fund.
Robin MartinHead of Performance Analysis and Research
- Joined LGIM in 2006.
- Robin spent five years as a Research Analyst and Head of Research at Hammerson Plc.
- His background also includes a two year spell at the CBI as a Senior Economist, plus three years in the petroleum industry.
- Qualifications: Degree in Economics and Economic History from Warwick University.
Dan BattertonBusiness Development Manager
- Joined Legal & General Property Limited (LGP) as Business Development Manager in February 2007 with the responsibility to lead new fund ideas and identify areas of business growth within LGP.
- Previously Dan was an Associate Director at IPD Ltd where he was responsible for the UK portfolio analysis service to a collection of major institutions.
- Since joining LGP he has designed and structured a pooled fund of funds which he fund manages. This vehicle has the capacity to invest in unlisted, listed and synthetic real estate. He is also responsible for advising LGP on their investments into external funds.
